Thank you...
I am thankful for:
The breath I take every day
The health, family and friends and roof above our head.
The sun that rises every morning and sets every night.
The food that I found when I opened the fridge.
The safety feeling to be able to walk to the park, school, church, etc
The freedom to speech
The new and repeat customers
Happy Thanksgiving Day

Goblet that makes you feel like a royalty...
I've never thought how wonderful it feels to get a goblet from Ellison Bay Pottery.
You don't have to drink wine from it. No one knows what inside. I use it to drink sparkling juice, milk (with cookie), tea, water, juice... and I feel like a royalty.
It's a beautiful piece to look at and yet it's more functional than regular glass goblet.
Best, it's microwave able. Because it's made of clay, it could withstand heat.
EBP makes not only goblets, mugs and vases. They also make lamps, baskets, casserole bowl, plates and other functional items.
To learn more about EBP, you can visit their website, http://www.ellisonbaypottery.com/

Save those dust...!
No, it's not pixie dusts or dust bunnies.
It's sterling dust that you would produce when you're filing or sewing.
When it's accumulated to a good size of dust, you can add those dust to a piece of metal and heat it. The dust creates a beautiful texture that may surprise you. Like the one I did on this piece of metal disk.
Now it's up to you. It's beautiful just as is. You can use it as a pendant or if you have a pair, you can make earrings.
As for me... hm.. I'm still deciding what to do...
So... save the dust !
PS: I decided to make a big dipper pendant.

MPTV show today....!
It's been a busy day weekend for me. The show started at 10 am. It was a bit slow at the beginning but then the traffic starts to build up towards the afternoon.
It's fun to see familiar faces, friends and customers. Rick H, from Milwaukee, came approached me. He said that he bought a piece from me last year for her grand daughter and she's so happy with my piece. It just made my day...
I feel so happy to meet customers who came back and give complements. It gives me assurance that I did a great job.
And one of the best thing is meeting old friends and making new ones. I met Diane from EBP, Genevieve D and Elise L.
I plan to do more shows next year as the baby is a bit older now.
Even though this would be my last show for the year, I will still available online 24/7 at Etsy store.

I heard this on TV for Sears ad...
It keeps playing on my head, so I decided to search on the web and found it in you tube.
I thought I share it with you...

We fixed our patio wooden sliding door weather strip...
Well... I know this is not a fix it yourself blog, however, I think this worth blogging.
It's our biggest achievement in fixing the a door...
Our weather strip patio door is falling apart. With winter is on the way, it's been our priority to replace it. I've looked at local home improvement stores and I still can't find the weather strip I needed.
After weeks searching on the web, I found Conservation Technology, which looks like it would be able to help. The weather seals looks so much like WS 84 on their catalog weather seals catalog. I think they call it a "leaf seal". However, with a minimum $25 and shipping charges, it made me to try looking for something locally.
I went to Elliot Ace Hardware at Elm Grove ( my favorite part because the people are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable) and was referred to Lisbon Screen and Storm where I emailed Mike my single liner sketch.
He responded that he may have something similar to it. So, I was so very hopeful that we can fix this problem.
We went there, spoke with Dan, and within 20 minutes, we were out the store with big smiles.
We found the thing... Today, we replaced it and it perfectly fit.
We also fixed our front door sweep. There are many kind of sweep type and sizes. Ours is kind that has a barb that goes inside the door.
This is the picture of the door without the sweep. So when you are looking for a replacement, either you have to bring the old sweep or needs to measure the distance of the barb.
I found ours at Menards. There is also a universal sweep which uses adhesive to stick on the door.
Once you found it, just use a mallet to force it in the door. On both edge, we put silicone sealant like the ones you use in the bathroom. We screwed on both size using sheet metal screw just to enforce it. It's not necessary - not suggested in the direction.
We did the enforcing part, however, because when we put the door back, we accidentally folded one corner, which means the sweep didn't cover the gap as it's suppose to.
The tricky part is putting the door back. It's a bit challenging for both of us to put the door back... but we made it...
Winter... we're ready for you...
